Table lamp Yoko by Foscarini Yoko revolutionizes the archetype of the table lamp, placing the light body at the bottom rather than at the top, and placing an iridescent bubble on top of it. The accurate merger of two lightweight shapes, an unprecedented compenetration of poetry and technology, yoko was designed with the aim of creating a spontaneous and immediate emotion. An aim which was achieved using pmma and blow moulding technology, allowing to create an object which is lightweight and at the same time unbreakable, suspended and stable, artistic and functional. As its name suggests, formed by a pair of syllables which are similar yet not identical, yoko is a dialogue between two different volumes which cross one another and complement one another. In addition to the shape and material, colour plays a fundamental role in the personality of yoko. Three delicate shades, inspired by nordic nature, colour its transparency with reflections and hues, suggesting other colour combinations with the interior décor. A heart of white light floods the centre of the lamp, contributing towards creating a suffused and vibrant atmosphere in the domestic setting.
